This 1 day introductory course has been designed to introduce registrants to the science and research behind kinesiology tape application. We consider the role tape can play on joint mechanics and fascia and in refining input to the neuro-fascial system and by extension the brain. The practical breakouts serve to reinforce a skill set that includes regional taping protocols aimed at optimizing motor control and mitigating pain, scar taping, postural mechanical applications, fascial tweak taping, edema protocols, pregnancy taping, and injury specific applications.
Module 1 – Fundamentals of Kinesiology Tape : Students will learn the fundamental science, principles, contraindications and research supporting kinesiology tape application ( 1 Hour )
Module 2 – Basic Regional Pain Management Applications : Joint by joint pain management / motor control strategies ( 4 hours )

Brad Norris is a registered massage therapist, kinesiologist / exercise physiologist and human performance specialist. He earned a Master’s degree with a specialist in exercise science and biomechanics from East Tennessee State University. He is also a former member of the Canadian National Bobsleigh Team and Canadian Track and Field program.
As lead consultant and owner of Power Tek Fitness and Linden Valley Integrated Therapy based in Lindsay, Ontario, Brad has worked with numerous national, Olympic, professional, and collegiate athletes and teams over a thirty-year career. He holds certifications in functional integrated acupuncture, soft tissue release ( STR / MMR ), Fascial Abrasion techniques / IASTM, Fascial Stretch Therapy and corrective functional exercise / assessment. He is a Level 3 – Poliquin Certified Strength Coach and has served as a lead clinical instructor for Rocktape, The FIT Institute and The Poliquin International Certification Program for the last 15 years effectively bridging the gap between performance and rehabilitation.
Brad is a sought-after lecturer in the fields of strength and conditioning, sport injury and human performance. He has presented on an array of topics that encompass functional assessment, exercise prescription, injury treatment / prevention and program design across populations. As a movement, fascial enthusiast, he spends much of his free time exposing teams, athletes and clinicians to a unique functional movement and treatment platform that serves athletes and patients alike.

No, this course is suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners. We will cover the fundamentals before advancing to more complex techniques.

What materials are required for the course?
All materials and kinesiology tape will be provided. However, if you have personal kinesiology tape, feel free to bring it along.
